Meet the bunny crew!

Today I am going to introduce you to my furry crew- my three buns Munchkin, Cici, and Gus:

Meet Munchkin! I have had Munchkin for a little over 5 years now. I adopted him at my local animal shelter where his owner left him for chewing up her carpets. I couldn't imagine life without him! He is a happy-go-lucky couch potato and his pastimes include eating treats, cuddling (especially with his best friend Cici), digging, and napping. He is a senior bun now (about 7-9 years old) and is enjoying his retirement years! He likes to be called Munchy, Munchy-moo, Munchy-cow, or Bunny (that was his name before he was adopted).

Cici joined the crew almost 3 and a half years ago when I decided Munchkin should have a friend - especially since I was going to be taking college classes that year and he wouldn't get to see me as much during the day. I brought Munchkin to the local shelter to meet their bunnies up for adoption and pick out his new friend. Turns out he loves every bunny he meets but Cici was the only one who seemed to return the feelings! So I adopted her- she is a little Chinchilla mix rabbit and she came to the shelter as a stray. She was found wandering around by animal control in December- she was not fixed, was skin and bones, and her nails were all overgrown. She was also terrified of every little sound for a while. With some TLC, lots of food, veterinary care, and extra love from her new friend Munchkin she became a happy, healthy bunny in no time! She is a feisty, energetic, and sassy little girl! I affectionately call her my moody teenager as she is quite defiant at times lol. When she is in the right mood she does love to give kisses though! Her and Munchkin balance each other out quite nicely!

Gus ( a.k.a Augustus) is the most recent addition to the family. He is a little over a year old Holland lop mix. I fostered his mom and her three babies last summer and he just never left ;). I have had him since the day he was born on May 29th 2014. He has had a lot of medical issues even since being a baby and he currently has head tilt. He is a fighter and is always a happy guy and remains in good spirits no matter what life throws at him! He is a little angel bun who is always on his best behavior (his friends Cici and Munchkin have their naughty moments lol). He has lots of stories and helpful tips for living with disabled rabbits to share with you in hopes that it helps some other buns who have health problems! You will be able to find Gus's stories under the "Disabled Rabbit Care" tab on the right.
